Volunteer Trustees wanted to join the board of PSC Support

We are a small but dynamic charity that strives to improve the lives of people affected by PSC through education about the disease, support for patients and their families, advocacy for better healthcare services and emotional support. We also support research internationally and award grants for high quality studies to better understand PSC and find effective treatments.

This is an exciting time in the charity's history as new plans are developed to increase the funding of life-saving research and to reach more people affected by PSC.

PSC Support currently has three employees and our volunteer treasurer manages our day to day accounts. The current Trustees are committed to the charity and recognise that the need to broaden our skills and expertise is vital to the on-going health and future of the charity.

We are looking for dynamic people who can bring their knowledge and specific skills to help PSC Support meet the needs of people affected by PSC. We welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds.

We are looking for enthusiastic people with the following skills, knowledge and experience in the following areas of expertise:

  • Human Resources
  • Communications
  • Digital

We are also looking for a Young Trustee who can bring a fresh perspective to our work.

As a Trustee you will have:

  • out of pocket reasonable expenses
  • opportunities to make strategic decisions & develop new skills
  • influence to shape innovative projects
  • the chance to improve health and wellbeing of people affected by PSC

Commitment

The expected time commitment is four two-hour Trustee meetings per year (meetings are held virtually), one full day strategy day and some ad hoc committee work.
