Colectomies and PSC transplant: end ileostomy compared to ileal-pouch anal anastomosis (IPAA)

A research paper published this week (8 June 2018) found that people with PSC-IBD who needed colectomy and retained an end ileostomy experienced fewer complications related to, and after, liver transplantation compared to those who underwent formation of an ileal-pouch anal anastomosis (IPAA).
