Organ Donation Week 2024

Organ Donation Week 2024

23rd to 29th September

This year for Organ Donation Week we're turning our channels pink and reminding people to register their decision about organ donation.

Monday 23rd September marks the beginning of Organ Donation Week 2024 and this year the NHS Organ Donor Register turns 30 years old!

More than 7600 people are in need of an organ transplant, including over 600 waiting for a liver.* Each year around 1400 people donate organs, but despite these remarkable people the waiting list continues to rise.

This week we’re encouraging people to register as organ donors, sharing tips on how to talk to your family about organ donation, and sharing stories about the huge difference organ donors make to people with PSC. You can show your support by liking and sharing our social media posts and tagging us in your posts too.

Just two minutes now could save up to nine lives. This could make a huge difference to so many people including those with PSC.

Together we can encourage people to become organ donors and save lives.
