Taking Part in Research

Research changes lives. It is through research that we can develop a treatment for PSC, as well as improve diagnosis, care and quality of life for everyone.

But this vital research is only possible thanks to people who take part in research. These people help change lives and improve healthcare for us all.

We are delighted that the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) is determined to make it as easy as possible for anyone to find out about research happening across the country and enable them to take part. That’s why they've launched the new Be Part of Research website. Designed for the public, it makes information about research available to anyone who wants it.

In particular, there is an excellent section on what's involved in taking part in a research trial, including what to find out and questions to ask if you're thinking about going on a clinical trial.
