How is COVID-19 affecting you?
COVID-19 affects us all
We know COVID-19 is affecting your home, work and social life as well as your healthcare.
Urgent care
If you have any urgent concerns about your health, know that hospitals are open for emergencies and want you to contact emergency services when you need them.
Non urgent-care
For non-urgent care, healthcare providers are reorganising where and how care is provided by reducing physical contact with your medical team in hospital. This is to minimise the risk of your exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19. Some procedures and appointments have been deferred, and many of you have already had telephone consultations instead of face-to-face ones in hospital. While doctors are doing their best to provide excellent care, we know the people with PSC face more challenges than most, and we are working hard to ensure you get the right care and information when you need it.
Tell us about the bad...
If you have any issues, problems or concerns with delays or any aspect of your care, please let us know. Similarly, if COVID-19 has negatively impacted your life in other ways, maybe financially, socially, or simply getting food, please get in touch.
Knowing what is really happening to you helps PSC Support build up a strong case for ensuring the right healthcare services and support are there for you.
Please don't suffer, worry or fume in silence. If you have ideas or thoughts on how healthcare should be re-organised, now or after COVID-19, please send us a message or give us a ring in confidence on 01235 253545. All calls/extensions come through to Maxine or Martine, or you can leave a message and we'll call you back.
We're incredibly busy, but we want to hear from you and will get back to you.

...and the good
Equally, COVID-19 is bringing out the best in people and building local communities. How are you handling the lock down? Do you have any tips for others on social distancing, living well in isolation, getting shopping, shielding in a household that includes key workers or staying positive? If so, let us know! Thank you to everyone who has sent in a tip so far. We'll be sharing them soon.
