Twelve Festive Fundraising Ideas
Twelve Festive Fundraising Ideas
Spread cheer and raise awareness with festive fundraising!
Christmas is the perfect time to bring people together and raise awareness. These 12 fun and festive ideas are easy to organise, full of holiday spirit, and are a great way to raise vital funds.
PSC Support is the only UK charity dedicated to helping people with PSC. As a small charity every penny of your fundraising goes towards improving the lives of people affected by PSC.
1. Christmas bake sale
Warm up hearts and stomachs with holiday-themed baked goods! Host a bake sale at your workplace, school, or local market, offering festive cookies, cakes, and treats. All proceeds go towards PSC Support.
2. Christmas shopping
Shop through EasyFundraising or Give as You Live and raise funds for free as you shop online at selected stores. Brands will donate part of what you spend to a cause of your choice and it won't cost you any extra.
3. Christmas jumper day
Encourage your friends, family, or colleagues to wear their silliest or most festive Christmas jumpers for a donation. Have a prize for the most creative jumper, and turn it into a mini-contest for even more fun.
4. Christmas gift wrapping station
Some people don't enjoy wrapping presents and would gladly pay somebody else to do it! Offer a gift wrapping service in exchange for a donation to PSC Support.
5. Santa run
Take part in an organised Santa run. We have places in Santa in the City runs in London and Tunbridge Wells. Lookout for other Santa runs in your area or plan your own. Pick a simple route (around a local park or playing field will do), rally up a group of willing participants, get your costumes or Santa hats ready and ask people to get sponsored to take part in the festive run.
6. Christmas cards for a cause
Let friends and family know you’re making a difference with your choice of greeting cards. This festive season, spread joy while supporting PSC Support’s essential work! With our new cards and e-cards, you can create beautifully personalised cards that help fund our mission.
7. Christmas movie marathon
Organise a Christmas movie marathon at home or in a rented space. Invite people to join for a small fee, provide popcorn and hot cocoa, and enjoy a cozy evening with classic holiday films.
NOTE: To show a film outside of the home, you will need to obtain permission from the copyright owners in the form of a licence, whether or not you are showing to a paying audience. For guidance about showing films in public go to this gov.uk page or for information specifically for schools visit pta.co.uk.
8. Christmas craft workshop
Host an in person or online craft workshop where participants make holiday decorations or gifts. Charge a small entry fee, and enjoy a creative evening together while raising funds for PSC Support.
9. Carol singing for a cause
Gather a group of friends, family, or colleagues, and sing your favourite carols at local spots like parks, shopping centres, or neighbourhoods. Collect donations from the audience and spread holiday cheer with every song.
10. Festive pet parade
Organise a festive pet parade or costume contest, encouraging pet owners to dress up their pets in holiday attire. Spectators can vote for their favourite pets by making a small donation.
11. Christmas games night
Host a Christmas-themed quiz or choose your favourite games (such as Charades, Pictionary, Heads Up!) and invite friends and family over to battle it out for a prize. Charge an entry fee and offer a small prize, with all proceeds going to PSC Support.
12. Twelve Days of kindness challenge
Encourage friends, family, or colleagues to do an act of kindness each day for 12 days and ask them to donate a small amount to PSC Support with each act. Share acts of kindness on social media to spread the holiday spirit.
